Service Description
Acrylic Portrait Painting This 12 week acrylic portrait painting course offers a step-by-step introduction to the art of capturing the human face in paint. Designed for both beginners and those looking to build confidence in portraiture, the course focuses on essential skills such as facial proportions, feature placement, and colour mixing for realistic skin tones. Using acrylics, you'll explore how to paint features and expressions, as well as how to bring together elements like hair, clothing, and background to create a complete and compelling portrait. You will learn to approach the face from various angles, including front-facing, profile, and three-quarter views, and gradually build up your painting in layers, from initial sketch to final detail. With a mix of technical instruction, creative exploration, and individual guidance, the course culminates in a finished portrait painting of your own. Group discussion and informal critique will support your development and help refine your work. All materials are included, though you’re welcome to bring your own. No previous experience is required. With class sizes limited to just 8 participants, you’ll enjoy plenty of personal attention in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere. Terms and Conditions Last Updated: September 2025 1. Bookings and Payments All classes, courses, and workshops must be booked in advance through our online booking system. Full payment is required at the time of booking unless you choose to pay via an approved payment plan. Payment plans may be available for selected courses or programs. If offered, you will be given the option during the booking process to spread payments over a specified period. By selecting a payment plan, you agree to make all scheduled payments on time. Failure to complete payments as agreed may result in suspension of access to the course or cancellation of your booking without refund. Prices are subject to change, but changes will not affect bookings already confirmed. You will receive a booking confirmation via email after successful payment or confirmation of your payment plan. 2. Cancellations and Refunds By the Student: Cancellations must be made in writing via email to emmalegrew@icloud.com Cancellations made more than 8 days before the start date are eligible for a full refund, minus any booking or admin fees. Cancellations made within 7 days of the start date are non-refundable. By the School: We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule any class or course due to insufficient enrollment, instructor unavailability, or other unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, you will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer to another date or program. 4. Attendance and Conduct Participants are expected to arrive on time and attend all sessions. Disruptive, inappropriate, or unsafe behavior may result in removal from the class or course without refund. We are not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged personal items. 4. Materials and Equipment Some classes may include materials; others may require students to bring their own. This will be clearly stated in the course description.
